A little more about me

Since this website is brand new, I thought I’d start with a little more of an intro about me! I’m Amanda, my husband is Jim and we have two boys. I have two younger brothers and I used to be taller than both of them, but not so much anymore. I also have an awesome little nephew. Pet-wise, we have a dog and a fish and I am a BIG dog person. Nothing against cats, I’m just extremely allergic to them. One of my favorite spots on earth is the back porch at my parents’ house. I love pizza, tacos, and chicken fingers, and I also got really into gardening this summer so I’m having fun figuring that out and eating roasted veggies. I love the Bills through thick and thin even when I hate them (if you’re a Bills fan, you know). I love Buffalo, but I’m not a big winter fan, although I do enjoy a good blizzard, preferably prior to March. I love pasta, but not spaghetti (I know, it’s weird). Clearly I love food because half this post is already about food. In my car alone, you’ll find me belting out Broadway show tunes- currently switching between Hamilton and Jesus Christ, Superstar. My favorite band is the Goo Goo Dolls and I had a MASSIVE crush on Johnny Rzeznik from approximately age 11. My aunt took me to my first concert when I was 11 or 12 and I was hooked ever since.

Family is so important to me and my boys are the reason I was determined to learn more about photography. They are everything to me and my favorite is spending time with them. I grew up in a big extended family and spent most weekends with my grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins and those are some of my best memories. We are still close today.

As far as photography, I had a love of it from a young age, but it was about 5 years ago after my first son was born that I really dove into learning as much as I possibly could. I absolutely love capturing moments for families and seeing the different connections each family has. I think that’s me, in a nutshell. Thanks for joining me here.
